About

Who we are and why this site exists

DogHealth Guides exists for one reason: to help dog owners make calmer, smarter decisions about
their dog’s health — without the fear-marketing and without overspending.

If you’ve ever stood in a pet-store aisle wondering whether the expensive supplement is worth it, or
googled a symptom at midnight and ended up more anxious than before, this site is for you. We take the
questions real owners actually ask — why is my dog licking their paws, is high-protein food
better, does my senior dog really need all this — and answer them clearly, with evidence.

What we stand for

  • Evidence over hype. We lean on veterinary sources and peer-reviewed research, and we say plainly when the science is mixed or uncertain.
  • Care smarter, not more expensive. A lot of pet spending is driven by marketing, not need. We help you tell the difference.
  • Honest limits. We are an information resource, not a veterinarian. We’ll always tell you when something is a “call your vet” situation rather than a read-an-article one.

How we write

Our articles are researched and written to be genuinely useful, drawing on current veterinary and
scientific references. We aim for accuracy first. When guidance changes or evidence is debated, we
try to reflect that honestly rather than pretend there’s a single simple answer.

Important: DogHealth Guides provides general educational information only. It is not
a substitute for professional veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified
veterinarian about your individual dog. See any article’s footer for the full disclaimer.
